hey guys, i have a question i have a 710 that i have had for a long time, i always just used it to mow grass but always kept an eye open for a snow plow, i never found one but adapted another brand snow blade to fit and work, i had a question on how high it should lift. with the blade strait it lifts about 5 in, i am worried about when its angled though, it is only about 2 in on the low side do you think this is high enough? i did figure out a way to get another inch but then it dosnt float over the ground its ridgid, thanks for any help in advance

To relate to your blade , when the blade on my pickup is turned at full angle , the lower corner barley clears the ground in the full lift position. It's the nature of the beast - if you have clearance on the tip then thats all you need. You don't plow with the blade up so any clearance is OK - thats where with pickup I sometimes need to bring blade to center (straight) position to back away from piled snow or the corner digs in.
But with pickup I have piled snow up to 8'/10' or higher piles - something i do not think you will do with small tractor

I have the Dozer/Snow plow on the front of my 716H, and with the electric lift, the bottom of the blade is about 5" off the ground when the blade is in the straight position, so I'd say you're okay. When I angle it, the tighter the angle, the closer to the ground the corner of the blade gets which like Coke mentioned its the nature of the beast. My blade is probably about an inch or less at full cranked angle.  I also have to add, that my 716H is a brute when it comes to plowing snow, so I would think your 710 is just as tough. Not as much HP, but can do the job when called upon....
