Can anyone tell me what year model tractor i have based on its serial number which is 141570? "One Sixty" is spelled out on the serial number plate. Also is there any other place i can get reliable information on this tractor?

thanks you,
 Waylon

I dont think so.....The 160 was an imported from Renult.....and dates and serial numbers were not recorded.

It was an imported tractor.  The good thing is that it has a Perkins engine.

It appears that the serial numbers were not recorded.

One-Sixty --- 1969-1971----4,110
160-----------1972-1973----587
6040----------1974----------499

The 6040 was built in 1974, it was a 160 with updated sheetmetal to match the 7000 series.

These are production numbers, not serials, correct?

Thank you every one for all your help. I have yet to find a year model but everything i have replaced so far minus filters have been from france. I found and operators manual for it on ebay printed in 1970. It shows my engine serial numbers located on the left side above the injection pump but mine are actualy on the right side next to the fuel lift pump. and it showed a serial data plate on the left side but mine is located on the right. other than that every thing else has been the same. But on a good note I have finaly got it up and running today. i had to replace the starter, fuel lift pump, and had the fuel injection pump and injectors rebuilt. Plus the standard tune up stuff like put a new batery, changed the oil and cooling system fluid and of course filters. next is the hydrolic/trans fluid.
