Guys early I picked up the 3 jack bolts from a friend. I screwed them tight and then torqued one at a time until the taper let go. I now am off to borrow a 3 jawed puller to pull the axle bushing from axle, then the wheel will be free to swing off with the hoe. Wish me luck!

If you are talking about getting the wedge off the axle, take a big chisel/wedge like used for splitting fire wood and drive it into the crack to spread the wedge apart from the axle, and it should tap right off.  Just don't stand or have any part of your body in line with the chisel, because it will pop out on you a few times and go flying off.  It's best to do this in an open area as well, but it is the easiest way I found to get them off.  You can drive it in from the top or the outside.  I have used two of them to get it spread apart more evenly.
