Thanks, Fred.  A nice gesture.  I don't have any pics of John to share unfortunately.  But, I know there are some others that do have pictures which they will hopefully share.

Charlie, do you have some more from the WC rebuild project from Uncle Theo's show?

Here's one from Dale's show in 2007, getting the chopper/blower ready for Butch's Model A.  John is in his trademark suspenders, Brad Hopwood is looking away from the camera, Butch and son are ready to play, and Armand is trying to escape the shot.

John was always in the middle of everything!!!!
Here he is in the middle of this photo of the forum memebers at the Orange Spectacular in Hutchinson, MN in July 2006. Yes, those are the trademark suspenders! (Second Row, 4th from the left)

Here is the forum picture from OPOP 2007. Again, John is right in the middle, behind Brad Hopwood.

Here are several from Dale's shows.  Mike

2007:  John is 2nd from the left next to Brad(MI).

2008:  John' son the back of the golf cart with Fred & Uncle Bill up front.

2009:  I had to crop and enlarge this one.   You can see John (with his orange suspenders and light t-shirt) standing out front of his cart with the orange rotobaler top for a roof.  I believe both of his granddaughters are there in the cart watching me take off in the balloon.  John had told me how much they enjoyed the show and watching me fly.  I glad he had the chance to spend that kind of quality time with his granddaughters.

I had captured these 2 photos from the AC Jamboree of John and rebuild crew of the finished WC. John will be greatly missed in the AC community! I believe the John and I started the subsoiling demonstrations at the AC Jamboree many years ago! Later years he would bring his WD with a mounted mower to cut wheat stubble before we could plow the fields. I remember him and Barb arriving with the Semi and blasting the air horn!

That loader is how I first met John. It was for sale down here about 5 miles from  me. Went and looked at it for him,he ended up making a deal on it, and loved it. Thanks for sharing the pics. What a super guy.

Those who knew him know that John didn't have to put a smile on for the camera. He always had one.
We had a good time at the shows, and getting there.
We travelled together to  Canandaigua NY with model As in tow we raced the entire way, his 8.2 Chevy gasser against my 7.3 PS diesel Ford. He won but I would never admit it, damn did I burn some fuel chasing him, but never admitted that either, LOL. When his model A would not start with the crank he came and got me to give him a pull start. When I pointed out that pull starting tractors was STRICTLY prohibited he just grinned and said "I know that why do you think I came to you? I have a chain come'on"

At Portland we had the A on the dynomometer and the dyno operator (dresssed in JD gear) asked how much load I wanted on the A and I told him "don't hurt your machine" John was near enough to hear and about split a gut. I think we were still laughing about that when Lonn took that picture

I too will miss him,,,, a lot

Hey Butch...
Dad had something about pull starting tractors.  Seems like I was always popping the clutch one tractor or another.  Last summer we were getting ready to leave the half century of progress show in Rantoul and the Semi wouldn't start.  We had to get a tractor out and pull start it.  He finally traced it down to the battery cables being shot.

As for the suspenders... I'm not sure how many pairs he had, but just like in all your pictures, he was rarely without them.  He even had a Sunday pair for church.

Here is a picture of dad on his WD45 with my oldest daughter.
