I'm in the process of installing Mexican Hat duals on my 220 project and have ran into a problem. The inside wheels are non power shift and the Mexican Hat duals that I bought at a former dealer's auction also had fixed or non power shift rims. To complicate matters the tires are 20.8 x 38 radials. I do not have enough space between the tires with this arrangement. Checking the sales literature, I saw the the outer rims were always power shift. I've located a pair of PS rims this afternoon. Has anyone ran into this? Will the rail to cast center locks from another brand of tractor work?

Calvin, I think that you could use the angled power shift style rail slides from any 7000 series tractor. please don't quote me but I bought some to use on my 220 wheels. Anyone confirm?

I'm not sure about any other brand tractor mfg. but i would stick with the Allis Chalmers wheel rail clamps. Chad: you are correct. I believe any wheel rail clamp made by Allis Chalmers, used on a cast wheel center will be the same. Maby even the ones used on the die formed wheel centers, like D-17 series 3,4, 170 180 185 175 also. Calvin: I have also noticed that Allis Chalmers used power adj. wheel rims with the Mex. Hat castings. I believe you have discovered the reason why.
