Ok..I picked up a 3 furrow SC plow for my other D-14 but it has a broken moldboard.
I feel like Noah...2 of everything !!

There's a piece missing about 10" by 5" where it gets bolted onto the front of the 'frog'.

Can I just cut and bend and weld a piece of 1/4" plate steel on instead of trying to find another good moldboard ?

I might use it for 5 acres a year on really good soil if  I'm lucky.

Thanks for all opinions

Jay

It sounds like you are missing what they call the "shin" piece. Look in the parts book for your bottom.

I might be tempted to take the middle bottom out and make a 2 bottom out of it. Then you have parts left over instead of needing parts.

The moldboard is one piece,I'd send a picture but I lost all my 'cookies' last night and am NOT a happy camper....

I thought about turning it into a 2 furrow plow, seems like a lot of nuts and bolts and 'pieces' to reconfigure...

just thought it'd be easier to weld a piece on .....

Get a piece of AR400 steel and weld away with low hydrogen rod
