So my 1960 is relatively shot. So while looking for parts I happened across this. A 1958 version of the same thing. Had about everything I needed to fix the other one, including a snap coupler 3pt conversion. But 2nd gear is bad. Well the transmission in the 1960 seems fine, so I was going to make 2 into one.

it was about 2 hours away so we loaded up and made the journey saturday morning. Came with great sheet metal, 2 newer rear tires, NICE power adjust rims. The bad rim and tire you see on it now I took with me just to get it home. Larry, the guy I bought it from was a really nice guy, we ended up spending an extra hour or so at his place after we had her loaded up. He walked around and showed us his allis collection. Couple of nice plows, I may just be back to buy one for myself. Alot of neat stuff he has. Among his collection a very nice and strong running wd45 that was his grandfather's, a d14 with a backhoe conversion that I believe was his dad's, pretty neat, and a styled WC that he's putting together. His Harley is even painted orange. Very cool guy.
It had been sitting for a few years so when we got it home we had to unstick it. Got it running yesterday for a few moments on starting fluid, hopefully tonight I can get some good gas in her and find out how bad the transmission is. I must say it's much more exciting to buy a tractor that you have very little expectations for and be surprised that its in better condition than you thought rather than buy a running tractor "with a few problems" an get it home to find out it's almost junk. I thought I was getting a parts tractor, but my parts tractor is in better condition than my other tractor! So I may just end up with 2 after all....
