I know allis chalmers brought out the hd7g then the 7gb i was wondering what year fiat put there name on the 7gb and what year the 7gb was discontinued.

Writen in pencle on my Fiat-Allis 7GB manual it says 1969-1974
Hope this helps. My HD7G is for sale. It is a project machine that I have not had time for. Good engine and undercarage. It stops moving when it is hot. Probably a hydraulic leak in the trnsmission. Located in south western NY. I keep saying I will fix it next year but I'm having fun with my (3) HD6G's

The tool holder on my lathe is home made. I cut slots in a piece of 3.5" diameter stock such that the top of the bit is at the correct height. There is a slot for 3/8 & 1/2 bits. Each bit is held with (3) 10-32 cap screws. I do not grind the top of any of my bits. This system is better than dealing with the standard rocker type tool post. The lathe came with a turret that I never used because I would have to find shims to make the cutting hight correct.
