Anyone know of a source for the gasket that goes between the exhaust cover stamped "G" and a sideshooter manifold itself, or has anyone had luck making it out of a heavier gasket material? Any thoughts or info appreciated.

Chad, there is no gasket there. I had the one on my WC just barely decked so it would be very flat and then cut one out of some very thin muffler gasket material

I have seen guys use sheet copper to make gaskets for exhaust out of. A couple layers of that in between the cover or 45 deg. stack should do it.
