1200's were very popular in this aera. There were 4 at a farm auction on Saturday. They usually sell for $150-$500. I've had a 1300 for 35 years. They are limited in clearance and not usually a problem in corn stocks. I have a buster bar on mine and that can be a problem in bean straw. Just traded a second 1300 for a 1400.

The wider the sweep you use, the more they will plug.....a 4 inch wide sweep is usually best.

A 24 foot sold today on an auction for $275.  Looked pretty good too.

I have an 18 footer with  a harrow.  the harrow plugs often in bean stubble, and Im sure it wont go thru  corn stalks without making beaver mounds.

In conventional tillage they work great. Have been using a 1200 for over 20 years and other than replacing sweeps I have never had to replace a thing else. The rubber mounted shanks are trouble free. Not sure why no one else has ever used that design.
