| .... i am looking for snap coupler brush hog and slip scoop. but not haveing any luck... has anyone ever taken a 3pt and made them snap coupler???? i did it to a corn planter once but that was awhile back and since sold it... if anyone has or has pics of them i would apprecaite it... not sure about the pto and what not thanks for the help |

You could get a Glencoe adapter that is made to adapt 3 pt. equipment into snap coupler equipment without having a 3 point on the tractor. Got a couple at home and they work well. Mike,
At one time A-C made an adapter to do just what you describe, convert 3-point implements to snap-coupler. Originals show up for sale now and then. Cross mfg. makes a similar unit that is sold by, Jim D, Tony C, etc. Here's a pic from some old A-C literature for a non-pto adapter. For PTO implements, the cross tube goes away and the top link attaches directly to the tractor:

| Mike: I converted my three point bush hog to Snap Coupler. I'll see if I can get some pics. It's buried in snow right now, but I might be able to get out onto clear ground for pics. It was a simple conversion. I used the Snap Coupler eye from my 3 bottom plow. Never need both units at the same time anyway, and its just two bolts. |

The picture above is pretty similar to what we got, but ours does not have actual 3 pt. ends on it, but rather you just run bolts the frame on it, to where the 3 pt. pegs bolts into the attachment. Woods made an adapter kit for their mowers back in the day, might still be available. Should work on almost any three point hog if they are still available. ------------- Most problems can be solved with the proper application of high explosives. |
