I  am almost finished with the restoration of a 1957 Allis Chalmers D-14 for my dad. It was his first tractor at 11 years old. I would like the decal locations to be as accurate as possible. I have scoured the internet as well as made several phone calls trying to get this right. I am a little confused and any help would be greatly appreciated.
1. I have seen the Power Crater Engine decal centered under the carb, but also offset to the right under the carb (as you look at it). Which is correct?

2. I have seen the Snap-Coupler decal on the bell under the tractor on your left side if you were sitting on the tractor. Is this correct?

3. I have not seen where the "Replace oil filter when crank case oil darkens" would go. Any advice?

4. "Lowering Adjustment." I have seen this on the left side panel under the fuel tank in a diagram. Is this correct?

5. I have no idea where the "Allis Chalmers Parts" decal would go. Any advice?

6. I have no idea where the "Oil Filter Element" decal would go. Any advice?

7. I assume the "Service Daily" would go on the air cleaner right above the oil cup. Is this correct?

8. Lift Lower and the Traction Booster should go on  handles on the steering wheel.

9. "Drain here" should go behind carb.

10. I have no idea where the "Remove cover to grease clutch shifter" should go. Any Advice?

11. Not sure where "Warning, before dismounting, shift transmission into neutral. Disengage PTO." Any Advice?

12. I am not sure about "Shift Pattern." The gear numbers are cast into the top of the tranmission. Maybe on fender or gas tank? Any Advice?

13. "Be careful" probably goes on PTO Shield. Any Advice?

14. "Danger pull only from drawbar." Any Advice.

Thanks for any help in advance. It is greatly appreciated.

I like your paint job, I love the 57 decal designs.  These pic show some decals you asked about.  Some parts are not original,  the hood is wrong, this is really a 57...

If I get it inside I can shoot better pics...

Thanks Rick! Does your tractor have any of the warning decals or the others that are still readable? Thanks again for the help, I will post the final product pics when I complete it.

Thanks Chalmersbob. Would you have a separate oil filter to put on at a tractor show? I plan on lightly working this tractor.

Thats right Rick. My series 2, the one in the above pic, has factory 3pt so if they put that decal there it would be hid.

Does anyone know where the "Allis Chalmers Parts" or the "Change Oil" decal would go exactly?

Sorry for the delay,  I have not been out to shop much in daylight.

PS:  I think the Use Allis Parts decal was for your checkbook cover

I think those decals should actually be on the traction booster and lift-lower levers.

According to sales literature from 1959, the lift-lower and traction booster decals go on the levers like Blake said. They look to be about 1/2" away from the rubber tips on the levers. The same brochure shows the PTO warning decal centered on the quadrant above the steering wheel shaft. Couldn't find any pics of decals in earlier literature. Seems like many times the early brochures are pics of prototype tractors which don't necessarily have all the decals in place.

That makes sense on the lever decals,  my tractor has been repainted so maybe not a good example..  If i repaint mine I will probably be asking these same questions.   I have never seen a good guide for the D series.
