How do you guys get rust out of a crawlers fuel tank. When you have a larger crawler like a d-7. the tank is large and heavey and the roll cage is a larger part of the fuel system.

With a brightly coloured, acetylene or propane fueled torch, adjust your roll cage so the fuel tank can be removed easily. Never run machines with roll cages or other add ons that restrict servicing procedures.     Mac

Empty and dry the tank. Use a powerful plastic coated magnet to get some of it. Vacuum helps. Add a big in-line spin on filter unit and change it often. The rust will eventually be removed. I do assume we're talking diesel here?
