Hey, I'm curious if anyone has a preference to which rebuild kit for the tsx871 is best. I rebuilt it last around 20yrs ago. I rebuilt the neighbors carb off his "C" last year and a $42.00 off the shelf rebuild kit led to a series of phone calls that led me to the manufacturer who was a single older gentleman located in Missouri. He didn't really care about my problems, so....The rebuild kit was mostly crap. The gaskets had to be remade by myself and the throttle arm was clocked 180 degrees off and it was pressed on. Two of the rubber(viton) shaft seals were the wrong size and one was missing. I'm willing to spend $50 bucks on the rebuild kit but it needs to be complete and correct....anyone like a specific kit? I want a complete kit if one is even offered anymore.

Thanks.

You want to contact Steve Barbato @ B&B Custom Circuits.  Steve goes by "Steve in NJ" on the forum.  Send him a Private Message.  He'll give you a complete carb kit plus you can get any other parts beyond a standard kit for your 871.  Steve also does full rebuilds if you send him your carb.  He did my 871 and did a fantastic job.  Mike
