i am needing to find out if the loader valve on my i600 backhoe,is serviceable? it is a ts500 loader im pretty sure. the reason im asking is i get no relief when checking pressure at the port on loader valve,when i roll bucket to end of stroke it pegs a 3000 psi gauge and kills engine. i don't have a parts manual for loader portion of this machine. so any help would be appreciated thanks BTW i have just installed a new pump and don't want to destroy it. thanks again

im not sure, mine bolts to the loader frame on right side, has 2 levers or spools of coarse,and lets see about 6 ports for all the functions and power beyond and return oil thanks dan

any one have a used valve for this I-600? I was told original part number was 2018309 made by eaton. thanks

Acer: If you come up empty on the eaton valve recommend you check with Prince Engineering controls in Sioux City for a replacement. I had replaced a Husco Monoblock Valve for a Dynahoe using Prince Sectional Valves. A helpful person in Prince would be Mark Mazour. HTH's.

If your going to buy a new valve, check Baileys. But no matter where you buy the valve make sure you buy a loader valve, they regenerate internally and they also allow you to use the bucket and boom at the same time. If you buy a cheaper 2 spool valve you will only get one function at a time and it wont regenerate

Seems the valve is working right then , as full power is diverted around the relief valve to the flow port. At end of cycle the position of the valve body would return to normal flow through valve body. One could put another valve ahead of the body to control max pressure , but on my 715B at end of cycle the engine will drag down if you leave any control in flow position at end of the cylinder cycle. same on my HD5G if you leave valve body in flow to work it will drag down engine as flow is not sent to relief or free flow but to work.

I think your valve is working properly I dont think your relief valve is working or it may be missing completly. My friend bought an I600 that did the same thing as yours the previous owner removed the relief so that it would lift more, which it did right up till the pump split in half, and with a new pump the tractor would snub when you dead headed the hyd. He had to buy a new relief and plumb it into the system. If you buy a new valve the newer stuff usually has the relief in the valve itself. My opinion here if your going to buy a new valve buy a joy stick, they are alot more user friendly.

Does your TS-500 Loader valve have the self leveling feature?

My loader doesn't have self leveling. here is another deal with this valve,it has a power beyond plug that supplies oil to the valve stack for the hoe attachment. flow capacity for this is 15.5 gpm. so i would need a 2 spool loader valve with system relief valve capable of 2250 psi and power beyond port that will handle 15.5 gpm to feed the hoe attachment. is this doable. or i may take the origal apart and see what fabrications might have been done from the idiot (previous owner) i bought it from. you cant believe what these cannibals
are capable of. thanks

A 2 spool valve like you need is very common and almost any hydraulics supplier can help you out. I would recommend you get a valve with float on the boom spool. You can also get fancy and add an electric switch for return detent for the bucket and add a switch on a bucket rod. This will give you bucket stop at cutting edge level when lowering the bucket to the ground like all late model equipment.

Acer: If you have access to a 615 Parts book that may be useful as the I 600 was upgraded to the 615.

My 615 has a return to float function in the valve which is very helpful when using the bucket. Let me know if you don't have access to the 615 and I'll see if I can dig my manual out to provide further info. I think the regenerating aspect that KCGrain has mentioned is important. Good luck and keep us posted on this.
