I was wondering what the 2 D 21's at Polks Auction brought in Yuma CO. yesterday. The guy had alot of JD tractors and some very rare High Crop tractors and Vegtable stuff. Just curious what they brought. Thanks Darryl

I had every intention of attending that sale, even if it was mostly green, just to see the stuff. Played hooky from the Farmers Market but ended up finishing stacking hay. A local tractor restorer did some of the tractors for this sale, brought a 2020 orchard tractor to our Yesteryear show in August. He had just finished it, I think he said he had over 20 grand in the restoration, expected it would bring well over 30,000. Only 31 built, I believe he said, and the owner has two of them. One of our AC site members lives in Yuma, where the auction was so hopefully he attended and can post some prices. Don't know why he decided to sell out, is in good health, last I heard, and shouldn't be hurting for money. Maybe he got tired of green and wants to start on a new color, like orange! LOL

OK, I just got back from Polks site. Wow, what a sale! Here are a few highlights; JD Waterloo boy N $55,000, GPO Linderman crawler, $120,000!, JD 620 high crop $64,000, Case 18 hp steam traction engine, $17,500 (not a bad price if the boiler is ok), The 2020 orchard tractors brought $29,000 and $36,000. There were several tractors in the $1,500 to $3,000 range but I suspect the average was north of $15,000. Perhaps the bargains of the sale were the AC's. A WC brought $700 and one D21, SN 2753, complete, brought $4,700. The other D21, SN2242, was missing its hood and grill, may be more missing but that's all I could see in the pic, brought $4,200. I guess I'm glad I wasn't there as I suspect I would have run up the price on one or both of those D21's.
