Here's the ole F2 and the 8030 during this years soybean harvest. These beans turned out right at 60 bpa.

Nice looking beans!  Nice combine and tractor, too!

I got 20 bpa on beans which should have been disc'ed under and replanted in corn due to late frost and zero rain. (I found out why they say you can't plant beans in dry soil!)

I'm not familiar with the F2 combine, so what is the white box on teh side of the grain bin. Looks like it has 2 fans on the top of it, or?    I'm jealous of the hydraulic swing on the auger, too.

Looks like you guys got some good weather, if not for the little bit of mud on the tires.

The white box is the air conditioning unit.

Lonn beat me to it..... it's the condensor. We had a very wet year, it was a real challenge to get anything done, had the coolest wettest October since they've been keeping record and November isn't starting out much better. Finally strung together a little over a week of dry weather and were able to get the beans out barely before the next rain, which is ongoing as we speak. Luckily for me the F2 is light enough to stay on top while a lot of the bigger combines are cutting 2' ruts. I still had some places where I had to back out and try a different angle.

What's your bean head number?   That looks like a new one compared to mine.

I think the F2/F3's are nice combines and nice sized for a lot of farmers.  Thanks for the pics.

The head is a 315 model. I believe it's an '81 or '82. It's in need of a new reel and the wobble box is about due for a rebuild. We ran the ole girl through about 85 acres of beans without any major problems, was real pleased with her.

I really enjoyed your post!!! I have been admiring Gleaners all my life, mostly F series.  They  are just right for the small family farm, too bad there aint many left. Take care of that ol girl, there are not many left!!!! Ryan
