That added joint in the PTO driveline should help drive up the cost.

Waiting on answer on the threshing method.  There doesnt appear to be a straw rack---rotary?

The chaff/straw is blown into a forage wagon for other use?  Lot of hardware, hp use for that...requires 65HP PTO...could see removing that feature to lower power requirements.

The above link may work to show you a JF MS90 Combine working in Austria. I bought a MS90 in 1974 when JF had a North American distributorship in Exeter, Ontario. We mounted it on a Nuffield 4-65 and used it for grain only for over 30 years. I still have it and could have it ready for the field in less than an hour. We just have "moved on" It had the capacity of the Gleaner K, Case 600, etc. of the day with a 10 ft. cutter bar , finger reeel, etc. The bin sits on the 3 point hitch of the tractor. It has one wheel on the out edge and is supported by the 3 point hitch and a mount point on the frame of the tractor near the front. It's strong point was its ability to combine direct in HEAVY spring grain field that were lodged severely. This was a common occurance here with yields of mixed grain of 125 bpa. not unheard of.

Somewhere I have photos of us using the machine in the 70's & 80's but I can't lay my hands on them at the moment.

Machines that were made for specific conditions work well wherever they come from. The JF was a Danish machine and I never had any trouble getting parts sent over even after the NA centre stopped selling. In fact, one time I ordered some baler parts (yes a rotobaler) and sent a FAX to JF the same day. I had the JF parts in my hands before the dealer called to tell me the AC Rotobaler parts were in!!

Incidently, I can be contacted with a PM re this machine if anyone is still interested.

regards,
Ken McGregor

For 18k I could make an old self propelled new again and not have to twist around backwards all day to watch it.

Interesting PTO drive setup for sure.  It does eliminate a lot of shielding, however.
