| just bought a 48' C ..can someone please explain the cover that is missing on the exhaust/intake manifold please? does that cavity go straight in to the head? |

| That sounds like the spec plate for the engine. Won't effect how it runs. Mine is missing too. |

| That cover has no function. It had tune up specifications on it. After market manifolds don't have it. |

No. the manifolds were the same. The heat box bolted on where the spec cover went.
