It was buda, and technically it was an AC engine, as AC bought Buda in 1953. They more or less just carried the same buda line right at first, wasnt until the 190 came out and all engines were redesigned with direct injectio, these engines were know as the thousand series

the same buda engine was in co op and cockshutts and some outher around that year i was told sorry for miss spelling the word buda

Allis Chalmers' first crawler diesel tractor was the KO, LO, SO tractor series starting about 1935 to about 1941, they were considered to be a ''SEMI DIESEL" which was simply diesel injection with spark ignition and then they changed to the HD 7,10,14 series with the Detroit Diesel in 1941 -42, can't omit the crawlers now can we? I believe I saw a rubber tired tractor at Union Grove that had that early "semi diesel" engine also.

That would have been the "A" Dave Ferguson brought back to life. He told me that only 4 were made. Some of the UC cane tractors had diesels.
