A year or so ago I dreamed of putting a snap coupler system on one of my 720 lawn tractors. That's still on the list of things I want to do when I get around to it. In the mean time, another nightmare (as my mechanic friend calls them) has come to mind...putting a narrow front end on a 720. Don't think I've see it done on this large of a garden tractor. I'd like to keep it a working model...not just a show piece. Just one of my dreams??? Den ------------- Own 4 wheel 20, 2-5015, 5020 and associated equipment and 2 electric forklifts. |

Are you thinking of putting larger rear tires on so you could keep the original size fronts and still have the tractor sit level? Or? I like it. Not sure what purpose it would serve being a narrow front, but when has that ever stopped us from doing something, LOL! Den, I have had dreams of owning a 720. Maybe some day if I get rid of some of the big stuff, I can go to smaller stuff.

Ya, I'm with you on the 190 thing, but, just thinking out loud here, wouldn't larger rear tires/rims actually be closer to making a scale tractor than making the small front tires/rims even smaller? I guess that's how I see it in my mind, maybe I'm off. We need one of our fellow forum artists to draw us up some sketches.... Remember that the tractor will be easier to tip on side hills with a narrow front end. Anything is possible with enough $$ and some determination. I've seen Cub Cadets and JD 140's customized like that. 427435, Thanks for the warning but I was driving narrow front WD when I was 3 years old thru the hay fields while the adults were loading the wagons. Brought up on narrow front end tractors and always seek them out. I have a narrow front end D 17 and made the mistake of letting a NF D 19 get away from me.
