I've scrounged around and found a set of sleeves and pistons from my vast inventory of junk to replace the ones in the -45 engine I am trying to revive to running condition. Looks like 4 1/8" pistons. Anyhow, the O rings at the bottom of the sleeve are much fatter than what I have seen so far on other sleeves.
Anybody know what size these are and where to get my hands on a set?

Don't forget about Sandy Lake right there in your own back yard...

if it's fatter round o rings and 4.125 bore liners, they are most likely Cleavlite. I have a new set of O rings here, I got them from Tisco as I have a set of liners that need them.  They are about $5 per set.

If you measure the O ring grove minimum diameter and width I can check to make sure, or monday I can try and rember to post the measurements of mine.

Well Norm, that's why I am asking here. I don't know brand of sleeve because, as I said, I pulled them out of another engine.....don't see any markings on them. I don't know how to measure the O rings, if I measure the groove in the cylinder, is there any allowance for the O ring swelling when installed? The O ring itself is distorted and flattened on the block interface, so again, what do I measure?
Anyways, Norm, you haven't seen me when I really get in a hurry! in that case I would have cleaned the old ones up with some WD 40, put 'em back on the sleeves and stuffed them back in the hole! LOL

The new 4 1/8 set I just put in my 45 were bigger than the old M&W's that came out.I know I stuck a caliper on them and I THINK they were 1/8in but I didn't write it down and my memory is........what are we talking about? Call OK Tractor.Jim has been through this a bunch from what he's said.

just warning you why do it twice know for a fact m&w sleeves take different o -rings
same way goes for rings  there were a lot of them installed in our area in the 50.s-60,s
they were not the rd. style originaly  our machine shop tells the same story35 yrs.+

Lou, if you have a dial caliper you can measure the width of the groove and then either measure the outside diameter of the sleeve and subtract 2 times the depth of the groove, or if your caliper fits, measure the diameter of the groove. If your groove is for a 3/16 o-ring the depth of the groove from the outside will be a few thousandths of an inch less than the cross section of the o-ring.
