Howdy all, I'm working on an Allis Chalmers TL10 Tractoloader, I know that they're fairly rare but I'm hoping I can still get some advice since many of their parts are the same as a WD45. I'm trying to remove the rear hubs (front if you're looking at the loader, or lets just say the big driving tires). I have been fighting them since they are exposed to the elements and the hub nut was seized on so bad I had to heat it to cherry red to get it off. Now I'm trying to get the hubs off and they wont budge. Also, these are hubs that cover hydraulic breaks so it may not be even close to a WD45's set up, but I don't know since I don't own one.
I tried gently prying them off where they meet the fixed part on the outside, and I've fashioned a plate to attach to 2 wheel studs with a slap jack mounted in the middle but none of that has worked (I've also been dousing everything with pb for the past few days). The hubs do turn so the brake pads arent stuck on them, but it looks like it's stuck on the center axle shaft pretty bad. I also noticed that the key on that shaft has a 5/16 threaded hole in it. I tried putting a bolt in that hole and turning it all the way in hoping that it would push the key out or break it loose, but I've had no luck and I'm not even sure if this hole goes completely through the key. If anyone has any tips it would be greatly appreciated. I took a gamble on the nut heating it, and I don't think I ruined any bearings or seals, but I'm afraid if i heat the hub itself I may not get as lucky.
