I located a small gravity bin wagon that has Allis running gear and a New Holland Gravity Bin. I would love to have it but I'm afraid I won't have a use for it, but more importantly, I'm wondering if the B will be able to pull it, either loaded or unloaded. What are your thoughts? Is it worth it to buy it and fix up the running gear and gravity bin? Maybe I'll take the gravity bin off and build a flat wagon for the running gear. Think the B could pull it?

Pull it? yes, hold it on a down hill? NO, stop it under load? NO

If the price is within reason, buy it for the running gear.

Thats another thing I was afraid of...Stopping it. I didn't think it would be able to but I also thought it would be neat to take to the fall shows and fair parades in the area. How often do you see an antique gravity bin wagon? Not very in my area, but you see an awful lot of corn picking!!!

I pulled a gravity wagon load of beans (was 90 plus bushels) with an AC 5020. Same horsepower, probably same weight tractor no problems. As for starting, stopping, I had absolutely no problems but that's probably because I knew I had more weight behind me than tractor was and drove accordingly. You will have no trouble if you use common sense.

We pull 150 bushel bins all the time with B's and C's just have to remember what your pulling and plan ahead, i've never had any problems

We had a 150 full of wheat behind our B and let me tell you it was more than what is safe and I'm a far piece from a safety kook. No problem on going. We were loaded with front and rear weights. Problem was stopping or slowing going down grade. Flat ground? your good to go but hills? no way IMO. Empty you have nothing to worry about.

I pulled a Killbros 500 full of oats down the road about a mile or so with a B. It was full too. I had it heaped up. The whole point was to make the neighbors talk. They were combining along the road also. It was their old wagon. They switched to a semi. When the wagon was under their ownership it was always hooked to their JD 4630. In their mind that was the smallest tractor that you dare hook to a wagon that size.

Another story. I had 100 bushel wagon full of corn behind the B. I took off in some disked been stubble. I had 80% wheel slip for the first 50 yards probably. Barely had enough momentum to make the small incline to get up on road. Got home in the gravel in the yard that was kinda fresh yet and spun out. Had to switch to something bigger.
