We have replaced the discs and stilll have one brake that willl not activate...has anyone had one apart lately...aren't these two stage brakes...acutuaters and discs should be right ...any help would be appreciated...Mark

Have you checked the little steel balls between the actuator plates? They have caused us problems in the past.

there are 3 lined discs, one floater, and the actuator assembly. If you didn't pull out all the components, then maybe the discs aren't sliding on the bull pinion. I cleaned mine all up, and one side (right)really grabs good, and the(left) is marginal. I also left the wire spacer out to compensate for the discs being a little thinner. I did sand them while out too.

Agree with others...when I had my brakes apart I took all the springs and balls out. Some of the balls were wore flat on one side and couldn't actuate properly. Also, one of the springs was broken. Also, check the free play in the brake pedals. You can get some adjustment out of the rods that actuate the brakes.
