Replaced one this morning. Happy I had a spare and even happier that I knew where it was. Also nice for an easy fix
Wonder what the city is putting in our water? One of the flapper ears was almost gone. Maybe chlorine? Thanks

Very likely too much chlorine. Some water systems are not monitored closely enough and the chlorine level gets too high. Glad you had a spare on hand and could locate it. I have deep wells at the house and at the farm and not many plumbing problems except for the site built septic tank wall at the farm collapsing after fifty plus years of service.
