Been a very long time since my last post, but here goes.

Thought I'd get my 8550 fired up for the first time in a few (too many) years. Started right up and sounds good BUT I think my shift cables are seized up from sitting. I can get it into neutral (it easily towed a few feet) but the range lever has limited movement forward and back. Similarly, the gear lever won't go into any gear (but will turn as it should).

Has anyone got experience in freeing up the cables. I'm pretty sure its frozen cables.

Secondly, is there a source for new cables out there, in the event option one doesn't work. The tractor is well worth fixing, has low hours and is in fine condition.... except for the above problem. 

Would sure appreciate any help fixing or sourcing my shift cable problem.
