yes.. the torque tube and engines are interchangable... Few more taped lug holes on some, but all will fit........... transmission / rear end / final drives are different on the CA. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

I don’t think the B has the 4 tapped mounting holes for cultivators. ------------- It's the color tractor my grandpa had! |

I have a B torque tube in my garage with my bench grinder mounted to it. It is the right height and heavy enough that it doesn’t move. ------------- '41 Allis B '49 Farmall Cub |

the differential case has 4 bolts that hold the final drives to each side.. The finals on the B-C are completely vertical to the case... the CA has the final cases turned slightly so the finals tilt BACKWARD somewhat.. giving a longer wheel base.. The troque tubes go by DATE.. The early B and C are identical and have no mounts for the implement... When the CA replaced the C, they added 4 tapped lugs to each side to hold implements under the tractor... at that point the same torque tube was used on the B which was still in production.

I just now did a crude tape measurement of my CA and Model C transmissions, the CA 4-speed transmission is a smidge more than 1-1/2" longer than the Model C 3-speed. The majority of the length increase is from the rearward angle of the final drives.

The CA is also an inch or so longer in the front support casting as opposed to a C. ------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

Is this only from the increased length of the cultivator mounts protruding to the front, or does this actually increase the length of the wheelbase?

The bolt hole bosses coming through the radiator shroud on the CA is the only change. The front support casting is interchangeable between the C & CA if the radiator shroud is modified on the C to clear the bolt hole bosses. ------------- HANSEN'S OLD ORANGE IRON. Showing, Pulling, & Going!! |
