my 8070has always started verywell. it sat all winter and started right up this spring. foward to now and now it acts like the inj pump looses its prime right up this spring. |

| If it was mine, I'd probably replace the fuel hose that goes from the fuel filter on the left side of the tractor and crosses over under the water pump to the injection pump. That hose may be original and 44 years old. |

You might want to replace the return hose that goes from the injection pump to the tank too. I had one doing the same thing. Started repacing hoses and when i changed that one it fixed it. I woundnt have thought the return would have caused it but it did on that one ------------- 1984 80780 1957 D14 DES 300 with 25000 engine 616 tractor |

| Also check the return line drop tube in the tank, they have a habit of falling off, it has to be there or it will crank an extra 5 seconds or so after sitting overnight. |

Had one like that. Fall came and need primed if sat more than a day. PIA to operate that primer! Never diagnosed it cause it got an inline pump that winter Fine since. |

Experienced something similar on a 7060 and 7080. They don’t leak fuel out but let air in. ------------- 8030, 7060, six 6080’s grandpa’s D17, 8760, 8100, and 8970 Deere. |
