The shifter side plate is leaking oil and needs a new gasket. Does the shifter need to be removed to take the plate off? ------------- '41 Allis B '49 Farmall Cub |

the round plate has the shift forks and rods mounted to it.. when you pull it out, the forks will disengage the gears.... replace the gasket and watch what your doing when you reinstall... shift lever does not need to be removed... but it pilots into grooves in the shift rail when you reinstall.. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

ii think i cut one out of brown construction paper and put permatex on both side...010 inch is plenty.. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |
