the book says close to 17 gallons will drain, how much will come out of the main case plug,, and how much out of the final drive plugs? is there a limited amount that will come out of the final drives? or will they drain the complete system?

I'm trying to figure out how to set up a catch buckets, so I don't make too big a mess.

Just drained my 7060, you are going to make a mess. All was well untill i pulled the drain for the transmission, a horizontal plug, inch stream of warm oil and a bucket is a handful,and lap and face. Believe if I did this kind of thing often I would have five or more five gallon buckets open lid and have a divertor built to direct it down.

Whatscookin,,,the 8010 has the drains all on the bottom,, so at least they'll all go straight down..

Each final 2+, so 5-ish and then 12 more out the center plug. Start in the center. Don't drop any plastic sealing washers or reuse one in tough shape. EDIT: Maybe start with the finals and wind up with closer to 5 each and then go to the center with two pails to finish up.

If you wanna get it ALL drop the rear plate. You can get a good bath with that!

Can be easy and nearly mess free. Crack plugs loose but don’t screw out. One person lays under tractor second one watches from above to check bucket level as bucket gets full the ground guy slides full bucket out from under drain while the standing person keeps empty bucket against full bucket. Wife and I can do this and not loose more than a pint or two. If your helper is good they’ll pick up and angle the incoming bucket.

Victory,, I'm by myself, would be nice to have a helper...she sounds great,,

I have a plan, I have a mineral tub that I think will hold 12-14 gallons, with that and a couple 5 gallon buckets under the finals,, should keep the mess to a minimum,,thing is,, if it's me and oil changes,, there's always a mess,,,

gonna follow Doc's edited advice, drain the finals first,, then the center..
