My D14 just started popping once or twice when I shut her off. I am brush hogging just like I always do this time of year. Brush Hogging going well...plenty of power and no hesitation when working. It DID stall twice this morning when I let the clutch out  before she got warmed up. Thanks In Advance

Let it idle for a bit. Is the idle set properly low enough? ------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY |

yep... if it is worked hard and REALLY HOT, they will try to diesel when shut off... get the low idle down, cool off for a minute, should do it. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

I didn't let her idle tooo long, just enough to get all the load off the tractor check the gauges etc. I am cutting an old hayfield, so it ran without any real load, just came to the house about 1/4 mile. I wonder if I need to richen the mixture a bit maybe on the idle side. |

Both of their replies are correct. Richening the mixture will only make it worse. | Make sure your timing is correct. And yes let it idle a bit. If all else fails shut if off in high gear and let clutch out a bit. |
