Hi all. I have the radiator at off and at the shop. It is pretty beat up and rusty. The fellow suggested I might look for a new radiator in case it is more cost effective. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks. |

| Call an AGCO dealership and ask if a new one is available anymore and if so, how many $$$$$ ??? My guess is new ones aren't available, so recore yours. |

They discontinued the radiator, unfortunately. Yeah, looks like a recore is going to have to happen. Thanks for the help! |

After cleaning the radiator the bottom tank is good and rusted.The shops I've been to are hesitant to deal with that tank. I found a radiator builder, but it's aluminum for race cars. $$$... Agco stopped making the radiator. I am having a hard time finding after market. Any ideas for looking for a salvage one? Maybe something else I'm not thinking of? |

I dont know if one off of a F2 combine is the same. Have no idea who you contacted but i found Griffin performance radiators. It would be aluminum but thats probably all you can get nowdays. Everything has gone up termendously. About 5 years i had one recored for s 8070. 1400.00. Had another recored for another 8070 about a month ago. 2600.00. Almost double ------------- 1984 80780 1957 D14 DES 300 with 25000 engine 616 tractor |

Any ideas on salvage yards? Maybe an industrial radiator place? I'm going to send griffin a picture tomorrow. I found a racecar radiator guy the other day that could probably build one. Unfortunately, I'll pretty much day the $$$s because it's my tractor, and I use it. Thanks! |

| Combine radiators will not fit a tractor. A 6060 or 6070 radiator will fit, but I'd have to research if they are the same p/n or not. Core thickness (cooling capacity) would be the only difference. EDIT: All three tractors have a different p/n for their radiator. They will fit, but cooling capacity is reduced on smaller rated HP engines. |

Shoot! Thanks for looking. I have some leads on a tank fabrication, but still looking for a salvage if I can. Will aluminum be too brittle? Will it break in a tractor. |

There are millions and millions of aluminum radiators running up and down the hiways that apparently don't have a problem. I think that it is not a matter of being made out of aluminum....it is a matter of do they do quality work. Your 6080 radiator is mounted on four rubber isolators. If it is a quality build, I sure see no issues.

Great to hear. Just to make sure I have all the necessary parts in case the radiator has been removed prior to me. There are 2 circular rubber bumpers that the studs slide through. Are there other parts that go under the radiator that isolates it from the frame plate steel? |
