Am I in trouble? All gears do not "seat" easily nor firm. Oil dip stick shows very dirty oil with a light sheen of silver. Power Director functions great. What viscosity oil should be used when I change oil?

Every compartment can use today's modern transmission/hydraulic oil. Power steering holds 4+ quarts. The hydraulic sump holds 2 1/2 gallons. Power Director holds 2 to 2 1/2 gallons. Transmission holds 4 gallons. Each final drive holds one quart each.
