From what I gather, until the advent of the Model T in 1903, the first Ford with a steering wheel, all previous models steered by a tiller. Without closer examination, I cannot speak as to whether this is an original; several replica versions have been marketed, most in comes-in-a-box kit form, and most powered by a lawn-mower engine. In some kits, cutting patterns are provided for plywood that you supply, along with no provided engine which you source yourself. Ford had steering wheels from the beginning. In 1903 they started with the Model A and then B,C,F,K,N,R,S and in 1908 the model T. In 1928 they started the Model A again and the B in 1932.
