This is the oil pump body from a ca tractor 125 engine. You can see down in the bore where the rotor shaft rides is pretty scarred up, looks worse than it feels though, I assume there's no fixing it. Anyone have a good oil pump for a ca? I do have a new rotor kit coming. Thanks

how much clearance do you have between the shaft and the bore ?  There looks like GROOVES in the bore ?? If minimal clearance, i would reuse and the groves might help lube the shaft ?? If you have excessive clearance, you could have it bored and a brass sleeve installed... but might be cheaper to find a USED PUMP and rebuild it..

several on e-bay for $40 - 75.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

I haven't received the new rotor yet, so not sure about clearance between the new shaft. I'm thinking run a light hone through it, leave the grooves there and seen how much play the shaft has. I checked eBay, their all assembled so your not really sure what your getting on the inside. I'd take a known good one...
