The pulley on 210-220 addition that will help wrap the water pump pulley and crank pulley. This is a special flat pulley used on F series and other Gleaner combines .  Remove the inner bolt on the front timing /pump cover and install longer bolt with shims to align pulley. Works to lengthen life of belts.  PN 71178651

Same same. Yes.  The 1/2" belt system was just borderline acceptable when the belts are new and so are the pulleys, especially the water pump pulley. And the belts must be tight so the fan doesn't slow down. Personally, I have used a wider belt (Gates "B" 55 inches long) to stand up higher on the water pump pulley and they don't slip if kept tight, even when they get some wear on them. They can't sink to the bottom of the pulley groove because they are wider.  I've seen these engines with the fan blades buried into the shroud, which is wrong, because the wrong thickness fan spacer was used. Fan blades need to be 50% in and 50% out of the shrouds lip for best air flow.

Thank you!!  I have wrestled with this for 30 years trying to come up with a better solution. My crank pulley is worn and new belts help very little. I know that is the primary reason the tractor has run a little warmer.

Yes D21 210 220 are the same - I think Doc's idea of the 55" B belts and the wrap idler will do the trick - I will install and report - when the Snomageden hits and is over...
We have been preparing for this for a week.... sadly I think I have already consumed all I bought :-( ....
