KY Hwy 4 - New Circle Road
Lexington - Fayette County - Kentucky

R.J.Corman RxR Overpass Crossing of New Circle Road at Palumbo Drive - South East Quadrant

https://ibb.co/LzMXV2g6" rel="nofollow">

38° 1'32.98" North Parallel - 84°27'12.77" West Meridian
1,025' Above Sea Level

Left = West to R.J.Corman Buchanon Street Yard or East to CSX Interchange at Winchester via a "Y"

Right = East to industrial spurs and a dead end

New Circle Road encompasses Lexington; we are travelling in the contrary clocker-wise direction; Inner Lexington is on our Left; Outer Lexington is on our Right.

R.J.Corman RxR Overpass Crossing of New Circle Road at US68 - North East Quadrant

https://ibb.co/ynWW16wm" rel="nofollow">

38° 4'0.93" North Parallel - 84°28'19.18" West Meridian
956' Above Sea Level

Left = South(West) to R.J.Corman Buchanon Street Yard

Right = North(East) to CSX Interchange at Winchester

This line used to parallel US68/US27 all the way to Paris; the Paris route no longer exists.

Both these bridges are Deck Plate Girder Bridges; "Deck" meaning the road-bed is on a deck above the Plate Girders; were they "Thru Plate Girder Bridges", the Plate Girders would be inverted and the track(s) would pass between the Plates, the Plates sort of serving as sides to the bridge.

This is Southern Railway's Louisville Line that connects the CNO&TP(Cincinnati, New Orleans, and Texas Pacific) at Faulconer to Louisville.

Photo Left is East to the CNO&TP mainline at Faulkner, North of Danville; Photo Right is West to Louisville.

This is a https://www.rxrsignals.com/Kentucky/A-K/Harrodsburg/127/" rel="nofollow - on busy US Hwy 127 with 26 trains per day and I find it interesting that there has never been a crossing accident here.(Note that the crossing signal site states 10 trains per day while the KY DOT states 26)
