Hello, and Merry Christmas. I’m trying to replace the injection pump throttle/fuel cutoff shaft seals on my 7000. Fuel is leaking pretty steady when running. My shop manual doesn’t show or explain. Can someone tell me the trick to removing the shaft? Trying to fix on the tractor. Thanks very much as always.

Pretty sure it takes the same procedure as on a 190/200 tractor. The throttle shaft itself can't come out of a pump installed on the engine (hits the engine block) without removing the Allen head bolt and spring in the center of the throttle shaft. It is SLOW tedious work with a (possibly) shortened Allen wrench.

Thoroughly clean the area. Unhook the cables and get them out of the way. You need to remove the rectangular top cover, hopefully without twisting off any  of the three screws. Remove the J shaped clip and then the shutoff lever can be removed. Do what the Dr. says.  I don't think that the throttle shaft can be removed without taking the over travel spring off first.  I cut and bent an Allen wrench just for that job. Seems like there's another small clip that needs to come out before the throttle shaft can be removed??  Pay close attention to the orientation of the internal parts and don't drop anything into the pump cavity.

IF you have never done one before - take the outside overtravel device off to see how it works, this will let you know what you are dealing with. IF you have never pulled the J Clip that holds the two shafts together, it will be a learning experience. Mot of the time it takes longer to find the j clip that it does to replace the special orings. A 'bent on the tip' flat screw driver is useful to pull the clip off and a pair of clamping pliers on the top side helps prevent a fly a way clip.

Thanks for updating how it went and CONGRATULATIONS! I never feel at ease when doing a new task. Done many and usually turned out ok but still not comfortable beginning.
