Been exasperating so far, wife yelling at Sis, at Me and at herself, panic as to Missed SOME THING, cannot ID.  Should be a Fun day and as always, a Mental Gymnastics course.  Only her Sis Grandkids and Great grands coming as Sis' Only Child passed over a decade ago, Her Brother's side had been invited on the 14th but Wife and Sis cancelled/moved that, forgot to tell them directly and as plans made in Sept., that side already has other plans.  Will be out to house come Jan. as all calms back down.

sigh, I've got that 'event' coming on the 28th...... 20 of 'them', including the 'contractor'.
I 'might' have to go to garage for a couple cans of ginger ale and MISS the table talk...

I feel your pain and can totally relate. Is it just me or do the holidays seem to come around faster each year.

My sympathy. Thanksgiving turned into a 10:00am rush to the store as wife sister informs us we should be bringing cheesy hash browns besides the corn bake. They get so worked up. There was enough food for 3 days. It wouldn't hurt if something was missing. And try to get 3 sisters to agree on a time. Just set a time and go with it😊😢

Got another week before we get to do it. It's only Danielle's step dad and stepbrother but it's a dreaded necessary hindrance every year. Danielle's step dad was never around when her step brother was young because he "had" to be off trucking. Bunch of other families made it fine working around here but they had supervisors looking over their shoulders. Now her stepbrother is in his 50's but has the mental capacity of a 13 or 14 year old kid. Nothing medically wrong with him. Just never had a man around to show him how to grow up. It's just SO much fun

We are going to celebrate Christmas at our granddaughter’s on Christmas Eve and then hopefully have a quiet time at home on Christmas Day.  Other than our daughter and granddaughter the closest living relatives are one niece, a sister in law and some cousins so we don’t have any big gatherings anymore. Sometimes we have someone come over that have no family in the area so they don’t have to spend Christmas alone. At my age I appreciate the peace and quiet.
