Workin on a M/S TXS #67(IIRC) on a Moline U, I put in a new needle and seat,, set the float at 1/4" like the structions say,,well,, floods really bad..runs, but lotsa black smoke,gas running out of the ai cleaner inlet.. Well, change back to the 'old' needle an seat,it runs really good,no 'flood' kind of exhaust smoke, it even sounds better,, no gas running out,, but hafta run about 1/2 choke to run at hi idle....☹️  tell me not gettin enough fuel..I do have good flow with the bowl plug removed.  Jus venting mostly,, I'll figure it out...😡 The one on the rear of the trailer is the culprit..  |

if your running with the choke 1/2 on, then the main jet is plugged... need to pull out the jets, rod out the holes, blow out with air, etc..
this assumes the intake manifold gasket is not cracked and your sucking in excess air.. ------------- Like them all, but love the "B"s. |

Well, Steve,, ya nailed it,, I didn't get the main jet fuel delivery holes cleaned good enough, after jacking with 2-3 different needle and seats,, I finally changed the float, I think it was hanging either fully closed, or fully open, well, the U runs sweet as can be now, I even used the plugs that were in it,, well, cept 1,, somebody broke it...even jus scraped the white crud off the points and used them, It's all good,, now to get some water leaks fixed, maybe see about taking off some the iron on the rear wheels.... |

| Yea, Tim, these are 3" thick,, I'm guessing 125-140# each,, and there's 3 outside, and 3 inside so, 12 of em on it,, BION,, there's no liquid in the tires.... |

Those Minneapolis Moline U's were beasts. An older farmer I had worked for in the past ran a corn shelter on one . Reminded me of a WD45 the way the governor would kick in during a load. Glad you got the carburetor figured out.
