12 volt battery used on 6 volt bulbs would be brighter and burn out sooner then with a 6 volt battery.
Voltage reducers, 12 v. to 6 v., will be necessary to prevent 6 volt gauges, wipers, radios and accessories from overload.
Fuses don't care about the voltage, it is the amps.

when you jump a 6 volt system with a 12v battery... You leave the light switch and radio OFF... YES, they will burn out if you turn them ON... If the switch is OFF, there is no problem... If your talking about upgrading to a 12v system, then YES, you need to change out the bulbs, etc.... The ignition coil will be short lived if you run a 6v coil on 12 volts for any length of time... If your JUMPING to get it started, then running off the old 6v battery, that is OK... If you leaving the 12v battery connected, then you should install a 12v coil... Starter dont care.. Generator will work on a 12v system, but  6v voltage regulator may not cooperate.

Like them all, but love the "B"s.

remember, most 6v systems are POSITIVE GROUND... .. if your jumping with the 12v battery, you should follow that plan.
