Hello. I went and looked a k2 combine tonight. The combine itself was in decent shape. The cab on the other hand was a mess. There is rust holes in the roof and around the windows. Question i have is how big of a job would it be to replace the cab? And would any 2 series cab work? Thanks

I'm going to guess here and say any K-2 cab should be right (obviously) and I imagine any F-2 cab should be too. The M-2/L-2 cabs might be a little different. And I have never changed out a combine cab.

They're not bad at all to change out. I had mine off some years ago when I was going through the machine. Mine didn't have A/C in it at that time which made it easier. I removed all the mounting bolts, pried up each side a little at a time to put some blocking between it and the floor, enough to get forks underneath, and then lifted it off. Have some photos of it somewhere. Take the old one off first then you'll have experience for the good one. I still have a parts machine with the cab on it that you could have. Have had it covered, but I think water had gotten under the tarp and laid on the roof. Would have to look. North central Ohio.
