Trans brake seems to grab without pushing clutch pedal very far. Owners manual is no help and I don't have a service manual, so any help is appreciated.

For a in service adjustment, a service manual would be the best place to start, wouldn't it Wacko

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Start by removing the right side step and swing out the battery tray. I don't remember for sure how accessible it is, but the inching spool should be able to have a .010" to .030" feeler gauge inserted between the arm and the end of the spool. The goal here is to not be bottoming out the inching spool when the inching pedal is clear up. We want it almost bottomed out, so I shoot for the .010" dimension when I can. This adjustment is FIRST before you change anything else related to the transmission brake on a PS tranny.
