It looks like a guy might be able to get new chain from china but seems risky.

It appears to be made of unobtanium, as I have not seen anyone mention a successful source for anything new...

Some Chain for IH machines is a close match - but that is also obsolete in new .
Berco no longer makes chain it that pitch.  It seems one can get it from China in Australia but no direct import into the US . So how much is made or stocked in AU to export beyond there of Chinese chain - a real question .
If one could find a swap by replacing sprocket ring to match new pitch and also fit idlers might be a option but for one machine probably not doable .

Coke

I don't remember the details but Mike Newman over at Red Power construction thread has mentioned checking what is available in excavator chains

A few years back I was looking for chain for my FD5 Fiat Allis dozer and contacted a couple suppliers and shops wondering about pitch and other sizing of different chains .
Suppliers seemed to be unwilling to share anything , only say they did not have the chain but offered no alternative or interchange .
When I had my Cat D6/9U I found D5 track fit after I replaced the sprockets with D5 Segmented sprockets welded to my D6 sprocket spokes -But that was a CAT system update everyone seemed to do .

I would think that some one would reproduce chains for some of the old equipment since there seems to be alot of it out there still.

general gear in Idaho may have a set of used tracks and is relatively close.  seems no one wants to reproduce anything for old machines.  only sell new
