Hey you guys, I’ve been keeping an eye on everything just as before after three months and three days in the hospital I’ve had 2 1/2 months of therapy with people coming to the house and now I am going in the nearby town that’s well-equipped for my needs to recuperate. In the meantime we cut Hey June 1, and since then I have tedded raked and baled hay. We have 7000 in the barn and another 2000 at least to go in the next few days of first cutting. We have 50 acres the second cutting coming on which is ready to go soon it takes and the beginning two people to get me on and offthe one85s and the 7020s in the 7000 and the 200 but lately lay my wife is help me get on and off each Tractor as I bought a set of three stairs steps that we keep in the side by side to help me get on and off. We have finished the new 60 x 64 for Hay storage barn and equipment storage barn and when we get into the second cutting we have a new New Holland stacker wagon to help with the level land nearby. We also have a quarter turn chute to install on one of our four balers.. I actually can’t wait for next Tuesday. We should be done with the first calling and I must say I am getting better and hopefully within a month or two I can walk again with a cane and not use the wheelchair and walker. Thanks for all your prayers over these months it’s certainly been a life-changing experience. Love to all of you. Capt Dana. It seems since I can’t type. Apparently I can’t talk clear enough for the word recognition lol.

It's been 4 1/2 years since my stroke. I get around by myself and drive. Sounds like you are coming along well. I found out the more it hurts as you work, the better the results so hang in there and take the "torture" as I called it as a good thing.

Really happy to see you doing better. My mom had a stroke in October but hasn't improved much at all. In fact, she's become less and less alert over time. Been extremely distressing. I'm traveling frequently to try to help out some, but doesn't seem there's much I can do that actually helps.

I have been a little over 16 years since a ruptured aneurysm, I was lucky enough to not have much serious damage. I started walking not long after getting out of the hospital, and for quite a while I made time to walk every day. I know everybody is different, but that is what seemed to help me. I pass my CDL physical every year, still have just a little bit of a limp to my walk but probably not enough for anyone else to notice. The only major thing I can think of is I don't smell sulphur smells anymore - propane leaks, boiling batteries, that sort of thing. Glad to hear you are doing hay, getting a cutting up in decent shape is one of life's joys. I have a 190XT that I installed a three rung step on that was designed for green tractors (I have a 4430, was going to try it there). I put up a picture of the tractor under another 190XT. Might be something to consider, I have also seen a picture somewhere of one installed on a 7000 series, and have been thinking about it for mine. I hope things keep getting better for you.

Great to see you improving, obviously the desire to keep farming is working! Keep a positive attitude and even a small improvement each day will make a big difference towards recovery. So glad to hear that you’re back on tractors, we all can understand what great therapy that is! Nice Oliver, another goal to reach for this winter. Nice shed that you had built, good to see you have some strong young men stacking your beautiful hay. Will continue to lift you up in prayer for a full recovery.
