I’ve got a new to me ca that has a stripped valve train stud on cylinder number 4. Any chance one from a wd head will fit or are new ones available?

If it is the older "short" height WD/WC cylinder head the studs are the same as a CA.

Great! I’ve got a parts wd with the short head so I’ll see if I can get one out of there. Got the tractors to start but noticed one of the studs was stripped so those valves weren’t opening.

What are the chances the hand clutch will come loose if I run it around with tied back? Should I plan to just tear that apart as well?

Just make note that the rearmost Rocker arm stud NEEDS to have the oil groove in it, otherwise NO oil will get to the rockers.

If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere.
Real pullers don't have speed limits.
If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

sounds like there's plenty of moisture in hand clutch department and or lack of lube. pull top cover off and inspect.

Is it okay to put penetrating oil in/ on that clutch being it is a dry clutch? I’ll make sure to get a rocker arm stud with the groove.

Also on the list is to convert the starter to solenoid and probably replace the ring gear. The starter has a sticker on it like it has been gone through but I think the gear on the starter might need to be done as well it looks a little chewed up.
