I need some advice... I have a 1949 G which starts right up but stalls out immediately once the choke is released. It will run as long as the choke is pulled out. I have made sure gas is flowing freely, replaced the sediment bowl with an inline filter, and installed a brand new carburetor. Nothing has changed, help!

Sounds like it could be sucking air someplace. Check intake gaskets.

If you can't find a manifold leak, get rid of the inline filter and put a sediment bowl back on as it was designed to have. Most inline filters are not designed for gravity flow.
------------- If it was fun to pull in LOW gear, I could have a John Deere. Real pullers don't have speed limits. If you can't make it GO... make it SHINY

Paul is right. Lose the inline filter and put the sediment bowl back on. Sounds like the settings are your carb are a little out of whack too. Might need to play with the load adjusting screw. I have read those new Chinese knock off carbs can be pretty touchy to get set up.

Depending on what type of inline filter you have on it is gonna determine fuel flow. If it's a can type fuel filter, they are for fuel pump equipped engines. Install the sediment bulb back on or install an inline gravity fuel filter that goes on an early Garden Tractor. Then see how the engine runs. It may be starving for fuel. With the choke on, it fattens up the mixture.. HTH Steve@B&B
