I am working on a 1960 D12 I bought at auction. It had been sitting for many years and needs help. I replaced the plugs, plug wires, coil, and carb and I have it started. It starts with full choke and sputters with the choke out. With the choke fully closed it sooths out somewhat but runs fast. I have almost no throttle control. I have not looked at the governor. I also wonder about the carb I put on it. It is new but likely Chinese. Any ideas about where to go from here?
