at Frontier Communications, absolute MF’ing morons.
Wife and I just got back to home base this afternoon, what is the first thing we see? The utility pole that is blocking our planned expansion of our driveway, that we have been waiting for a year and 1/2 to be ‘removed’ was replaced while we were out of town the past two weeks. Just our luck, we were not here the day those moronic mf’rs showed up. O well, more phone calls, lots of colorful words, story of my life.

We HAD Frontier Internet for a couple of years. It was pathetic. I didn't realize they were a big enough company to go from here to Wisconsin. I have to agree with you Lars, complete morons. The only one I dealt with that wasn't said he didn't blame me at all for switching ASAP

We have, Ungggh, Centurylink, and sadly no better than any other small scale phone company for the Net.

Started as Continental Telephone way back as the SWB/ATT conglomerate had to stop eating up all the competitors, had major offices in Wentzville MO until that became part of mergers and CenturyTel then CenturyLink became the current name.  Have FOUR of these type independent Telephone providers within a few dozens of miles, none any better and still dependent of half century OLD copper twisted pairs.

Ours has Fiber to the split office in Hermann, feeders out of town are Fiber to Copper interconnection boxes full of Bugs, Vermin and other issues as lack of closure seals, lack of proper maintenance, antiquated mechanisms the hoarder repairmen save pieces from tear outs to repair the still standing.

Fiber replacement projects All Around us, nowhere near to us and likely another decade away from any form coming down our second rate side state highway as population numbers will not cover costs.  Our rate per month is also elevating, primarily due to excessive costs to keep the antique junk running.  is now over $100mo.

When they replace the antique junk with all new fiberoptic junk you'll be paying even more for the new junk.  The parts robbing/hoarding is all they can do as most of the old equipment is unobtanium. It's a huge financial commitment to switch the head end "plant" over to full blown fiber optic. I work for the local provider and see it every day.

It's not only utilities that have morons -
On other house -wanted a curb cut and drive approach put in to access property without driving over present concrete curb - City engineer comes out show and tell of where and why . Month later drive over - NEW concrete in - only problem they moved it 10 ft over and now right in center of apron sits the old utility pole still in use - So have a 12 ft apron with 6 ft each side of pole to drive on
